Packaging your sale
Protect the item and measure the finished package before shipping.
Choose a suitable package
Use a sturdy box or mailer appropriate for the item. Protect fragile parts, cushion empty space and keep the contents from moving.
Weigh and measure after packing
Include all packaging in the weight. Measure the outside dimensions accurately and use the units requested by the shipping tool. Incorrect measurements can cause adjustments or delivery issues.
Label and seal
Seal the package securely. Remove old labels and barcodes, attach the correct label clearly and do not cover a barcode with anything that makes it unreadable.
Document the shipment
Keep photos of the item and finished package for your records, plus the carrier acceptance receipt. Follow carrier restrictions for the item being shipped.
